A common concern we hear from leaders is that “they don’t know what they don’t know”.
While excited by the opportunity to lead, rising leaders often feel underprepared and overwhelmed. A leader’s growing feelings of uncertainty, stress, and self-doubt are often the result of them taking on expanded responsibilities without having had timely access to relevant support and tools to know how to do this with greater ease and confidence.
When a leader feels ineffective chances are they are already showing up as ineffective in some aspects of their role. Daily challenges they may face around prioritizing, communicating, influencing, decision-making, thinking strategically, or leading others can become derailers.
We understand that companies want their rising leaders to be as effective as possible as soon as possible and that setting a leader up for early leadership success is critical. That’s why we’ve designed our Leadership Fuel small group coaching cohorts to accelerate a leader’s growth around self-awareness, awareness of others, organizational savvy, and leadership capability.

Leaders receive assignments aligned to leadership competency focus areas. These reinforce the learning while expediting the leader's ability to gain traction in a specific competency area. Each assignment is designed to be manageable, purposeful, and ultimately time-saving for the leader.

The duration of the program is ten weeks.
Leadership Fuel is offered publicly three times per year. Please subscribe to our waitlist to be one of the first to receive more information about our next open enrollment offering.
We offer two cohorts of Leadership Fuel to meet leaders where they’re at in their leadership development journey. We refer to them as our Manager cohort and our Director cohort. Both cohorts experience similar coaching focus areas. The differences between the cohorts are:
1. Participants are strategically placed in a cohort based upon their leadership experience and priority development goals. This ensures the cohort they join is a fit for them and they are a fit for their cohort. We aim to ensure all participants are well positioned to learn with and from a group of their peers. While we consider job titles and levels, these are not the primary factors for determining which cohort will be the best fit for the leader.
2. The leadership competencies explored within both Leadership Fuel cohorts are common ones that leaders inside today’s organizations need to demonstrate in order to excel in their leadership positions. However, the specific behaviors and skills that a leader is expected to demonstrate in a competency area evolve as one ascends in their leadership career. We focus on these distinctions inside each cohort. We coach on the specific leadership behaviors and capabilities that will fuel one’s leadership effectiveness today with an eye on those skills that will be essential for one to possess in order to successfully grow as a leader and lead at higher levels.
Our Leadership Fuel group coaching program is designed with both emerging and rising leaders in mind. The cohort a leader participates in will provide just the right container for them to explore and grow in their leadership approach. Someone in an executive role of any kind would not be a fit for this program.
We take confidentiality very seriously. This is one reason why we do not record program sessions. When people come together to truly grow it requires them to work outside their comfort zone and this often calls for a certain level of personal vulnerability. To maximize the benefits of this program participants will be encouraged to practice the very types of leadership skills they are working to deepen which include
• Engaging in meaningful ways for the benefit of the group as well as oneself (being willing to give as well as receive)
• Developing trust through integrity, increasing trust through non-judgment, and maintaining trust through confidentiality
• Listening and seeking to understand
As program leaders, we will always work to create and maintain a safe container in which participants can show up authentically. When everyone shows up in this way and all have “skin in the game”, confidentiality can be achieved easily. If we notice that a participant seems challenged by respecting others’ experiences, feelings, and/or privacy we will address the issue. All of this is reflected in our program onboarding process which includes having participants sign a confidentiality agreement. Our expectation is that participants show up fully present, respectful, and supportive.
We are thoughtful about ensuring program fit by hosting a 30-minute Exploratory Call with any interested leader prior to them enrolling in our program. This helps us and the leader ensure that Leadership Fuel is aligned with the leader's goals, readiness, and expectations. Once a cohort is underway if a leader has an unforeseen scheduling challenge or life circumstance and is unable to complete their current program for any reason we will allow them to move into the next cohort being offered (at no additional cost) if they so choose.
A leader can only enroll in Leadership Fuel after they have had an Exploratory Call with us. This helps them and us ensure that the program is a good fit for them and allows us to identify which cohort, Manager or Director, a leader would benefit from most at this time. When the Exploratory Call has taken place, if all are in agreement that the program is a good fit for the leader, the leader will immediately be sent an email containing our Leadership Fuel program agreement, registration and payment information.

Our public offerings of Leadership Fuel are delivered 100% virtually using the Zoom platform. We find this helps minimize costs and helps maximize convenience for participants.
Private company-sponsored group coaching cohorts can be designed to be delivered in various ways taking into consideration a company’s target competencies, timeline/schedule, and budget. We are professionally trained and skilled in delivering virtual coaching using creative approaches that elicit high participation and engagement. No boring virtual coaching here! We are also formally certified and highly experienced in face-to-face coaching and facilitation.
We have designed our standard Leadership Fuel group cohorts to accommodate up to 12 participants. This helps ensure participants have both a rich group experience as well as a deeply personal learning experience.
Our ten-week program encompasses:
• Program pre-work including self-assessment
• Ten weekly group coaching sessions
• A targeted, value-added assignment in-between coaching sessions
• Ten weekly Office Hours sessions (optional additional time for asking questions and coaching)
The complete program schedule is shared at the onset to ensure participants can reserve the scheduled session times on their calendar. The program schedule requires leaders to spend approximately 5% - 7% of their work week every week for 10 weeks focused on their leadership development. The cadence of the program sets the stage for leaders to create healthy and consistent habits that include setting boundaries, prioritizing (and protecting) time intended for ongoing leadership development and keeping commitments to oneself as well as others. Leaders should keep in mind that group coaching sessions are not recorded, therefore attendance at all group coaching sessions (once per week) is strongly encouraged. If a leader has to miss a session, they will still have access to live support and coaching during “Office Hours” which are optional and offered every week in addition to group coaching sessions. We encourage all leaders to closely review the Leadership Fuel program schedule before the program kicks off. If a leader knows that they will need to miss more than one group coaching session, we recommend that they consider participating at another time when they can commit to joining the weekly coaching sessions over the ten-week period.
